To comply with 1:1 laptop program best practices, EC IT has upgraded the schools internet connection from 300Mbps to 1000Mbps. The FCC has anticipated that by 2018, 1 Mbps per student will be the minimum recommended bandwidth for digital learning. Below is a chart listing the varying bandwidth levels required by 3 different learning goal scenarios. EC falls under the "Media-rich Technology Use" scenario and we are happy to say that the school meets the requirements of 1.2 access points per classroom and 1Mbps per student.
